60 Plots with approximately 150 members. A fairly open, level site on London Clay soil. Fertile, especially when well dug and improved with manure and grit or sand.
Facilities and attractions include a well stocked trading hut, car parks, Portaloo toilet, water standpipes near most plots. There is a Tesco Store with toilets and cafe nearby. Rotavator, Strimmer and mowers may be hired.
Our trading facilities are open on Sat 2.30-4.00 and Sun 10.30-12.00. Also available to Garden members (non-plotholding local residents and friends who pay an annual
1 membership fee).
A large and visible site on either side of one of London's main arteries. Attracts many plotholders from other London boroughs because of easy accessibility and its proximity to inner London and the North Circular Road.

The site was laid out during and after the First World War into (mainly) 10 Pole plots. We prefer not to let more ground than a plotholder can keep cultivated, so many plots are split into two halves. All rents run from 1st April. Reduction for over 60's. Plotholders also pay 75p per year to belong to our association, which manages the site for Barnet Council. Keys to the site cost 1.20 each - different gates have different keys.
Plots (and paths around them) have to be kept in a cultivated state. Any legal crops may be grown and subject to a few rules you may cultivate the plot as you please, provided no nuisance is caused to other plotholders. Many members try to garden organically but there is no obligation to do so.
Sheds and greenhouses may be erected subject to strict rules as to position and size. Note however that there are serious security problems associated with sheds.
The plot secretary will be pleased to discuss these issues and other matters with you. Call him on the above number.
